Provisional Camping is the opportunity for a Scout to attend a week of summer camp without his home troop. Participants will be housed in tented sites with other Scouts from across the council. Leadership for these units are provided by older staff members. Scouts will have the same opportunities to earn merit badges and participate in programs as if they were with their troops. Scouts are welcome to attend as provisional campers during any week of the summer, but the best weeks for provisional campers are during Weeks 4 and 5 (in Week 5, the Kia Kima Alumni Association sponsors the provisional campers).
The 2021 Provisional Camper Application will be available soon; please contact Johnny Tracy, at john.tracy@scouting.org, if you have any questions!
